We have seen a huge change in the handmade Nepalese rug industry since the 1980's. Back in the day, clients were so excited about these handmade rugs that they actually came to Nepal and Tibet and wrote their names on looms to reserve rugs that were being produced regardless of whether it was their design or the factory's. Some clients actually rejoiced at the sight of mistakes made on these rugs just to portray that these are really handmade and one of a kind. Now, clients are really particular about colors, designs, and quality of these rugs. They do not want to see major variations in color, designs, and very particular about the quality. Of course the industry has developed to attract more competition from China, India, and Persia. And we understand the value of the end consumer paying 1000's of $¥£¢ for our products. Hence to minimize the variance in design and color, we have decided to use the Galaincha software to design and produce graphs for our rugs which not only minimizes production time but also brings extremely complicated designs as close as possible to its originality. Use of technology in today's world has turned life and work into a form of basic necessity. We need to get ahead of our competition. With extremely competitive economies like China and India, Nepal still lags behind in terms of business and economic development.
