Rainbow Collection Nepal and its family has always been a firm believer in humanitarian work from the very beginning. Ms. Laxmi Tuladhar, co-founder of "Helpless Children School" in Kirtipur, Nepal is a true humanitarian. Even in her 60's and with various health problems, she does not step back in giving to the unfortunate children of Nepal. Ms. Laxmi Tuladhar AKA my grandmom is also the founder and Principal of Mount Green English School in Kathmandu, Nepal where she provides quality education to children of the primary school upto grade 5. I am proud to announce myself a product of this prestigious institution and many others, some of whom have become doctors or studying abroad.

Rainbow Collection Nepal is proud to be a co-sponsor of "Helpless Children School". We donate part of our revenue to this institution to help Mrs. Laxmi Tuladhar provide the kids with necessary school supplies and uniforms. New Location, New Office

Its been close to a year since we started building our new office and we are about 80% done. I have to say its been a hectic year with the move, the construction, and trying to handle work all at the same time. I have so many thoughts and new developments i wanna move forward with, but till our office is completely ready and everything is settled, its going to be tough to move ahead with these ideas. However, i know that once everything has settled, the business will boom in full swing. And the plan is to go after some of the biggest players in the industry. Yes Sir!!! So come out come out where ever you are, because you can run but you can't hide. Like i always say, if you are "THINKING CARPETS? THINK RAINBOW!"

When Nature Calls...

In Nepalese culture, a visit from an owl is believed to bring good luck to the family or the business. The day before yesterday a friendly baby owl paid us a visit at work. The poor thing was being picked on by crows. Of course it couldn't see anything in broad daylight otherwise it would have torn those crows to pieces. We shooed it under our car and it stayed there for awhile. It has the most beautiful round eyes i had ever seen, and a pearl-like substance on its wings. With a white face and its innocent looks, i didn't think owls would actually be so beautiful up close. Hopefully, it was a good sign for my family as well as work. Let's hope..it brings us LUCK.

BACK TO HISTORY!!!

We have seen a huge change in the handmade Nepalese rug industry since the 1980's. Back in the day, clients were so excited about these handmade rugs that they actually came to Nepal and Tibet and wrote their names on looms to reserve rugs that were being produced regardless of whether it was their design or the factory's. Some clients actually rejoiced at the sight of mistakes made on these rugs just to portray that these are really handmade and one of a kind. Now, clients are really particular about colors, designs, and quality of these rugs. They do not want to see major variations in color, designs, and very particular about the quality. Of course the industry has developed to attract more competition from China, India, and Persia. And we understand the value of the end consumer paying 1000's of $¥£¢ for our products. Hence to minimize the variance in design and color, we have decided to use the Galaincha software to design and produce graphs for our rugs which not only minimizes production time but also brings extremely complicated designs as close as possible to its originality. Use of technology in today's world has turned life and work into a form of basic necessity. We need to get ahead of our competition. With extremely competitive economies like China and India, Nepal still lags behind in terms of business and economic development. We at Rainbow are here to help you get ahead of your competition like we are trying to get ahead of ours.

Professional Office Cleaners In Nepal???

So i was browsing through the net to see if we can get a cleaner for our office, and i couldn't believe what i saw. We actually have professional office cleaners in Nepal. Though it was tough to search for these guys on Google cuz 99% of the results were cleaners in other countries. Check their website for more info on these guys: http://www.moderncleaning.com.np

Guess what the irony in all this was. I wrote to them inquiring about their services and i received an email back addressing me as "Dear Madame" lol. Does my name really sound that feminine??? Btw if you guys are aware of anyone else who provides cleaning services, please spread the word.

New Website And Developments

Currently working on a new website for Rainbow Collection Nepal. My goal is to get it up and running by the end of this year. Jessica gave me a hell of a deal for quite some work...Neat!!!
